Dear Dr. Janssen:

I haven’t ever written a letter like this one before as I was not particularly fond of my previous surgeon. I wanted to let you know that I was very impressed with your entire facility and most particularly with you. Bob has been singing your praises ever since his surgery and no one believed me when I told them that you called yourself to check up on me, everyone said that they had never heard of a surgeon who did that. I know from my past surgery everything was done through staff and the surgeon really didn’t spend any time working on his bedside manner.

In my case I wanted to express my sincere thanks to you for your help in treating my back. Your bedside manner was amazing and I appreciated everything you did to help make my surgical experience as pleasant as possible. I just finished my follow up with my local doctor and he took off the steri–strips and said he saw no infections, so at this point all is looking well. I am hopeful the end result will be excellent, but will have to let some time pass to be able to make that call.

I know you make it to Kansas City occasionally, if you know of a time when you are going to be in the area, I would love the opportunity to take you out to dinner. Please let me know if you have time when you are in town.
