Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, and Athletic Trainers
Allied health professionals, including physician assistants (PA) and nurse practitioners, work collaboratively with CSO physicians to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care. CSO’s licensed nurse practitioners and physician assistants are advanced practice clinicians. Working under physician supervision, they perform physical examinations, order tests, diagnose conditions, perform procedures and prescribe medication, among other duties.

Mark first joined the Denver sports community in 2004 through an athletic training internship with the Colorado Rapids while studying at the University of Cincinnati. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training, he returned to Denver in 2007 and began working at the physical therapy clinic of the Steadman Hawkins Clinic-Denver. Over his 15 years there, Mark worked with exceptional athletes across various levels of competition. He also provided outreach athletic training services for events throughout Colorado and across the United States, including serving as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Colorado Mammoth professional lacrosse team and covering United States Tennis Association Men’s Pro Circuit events. Currently, he works as an Athletic Trainer Spotter for the Denver Broncos as part of the National Football League gameday operations. In January 2025, Mark joined the Center for Spine & Orthopedics as the clinical athletic trainer for Dr. Jennifer J. Beck.
