Michael Janssen, DO, spine surgeon, recently spoke on complex cervical spine conditions at the AO Spine Advanced Seminar – Cervical Spine on April 27-28 in Chengdu, China. Dr. Janssen presented the latest clinical and surgical information on cervical disk replacement and cervical deformity surgical procedures to more than 500 Asian surgeons.

Dr. Janssen was among the first surgeons in the United States to perform total disc replacement (TDR), having initiated and participated in the initial clinical studies. He has been performing TDR surgery since 2006 when the FDA approved the ProDisc. Since then, Dr. Janssen has performed more than 1,000 complex TDR surgeries and trained more than 150 surgeons worldwide to perform the procedure. He is the founder of the Center for Spine and Orthopedics.
