SERF summer science camps create an interactive way for children to explore different areas in biology, physics, chemistry and forensics. They investigate all aspects of science and the medical field through multiple science-based experiments and activities. At the Scientific Education and Research Foundation (SERF), we pride ourselves on our standard of ongoing community education. Every summer SERF hosts four day summer science camps for children ages 2nd grade through 12th grade. Students are expertly led through a variety of science-based experiments and activities emphasizing subjects such as physics, chemistry, biology and forensics. Your camper will explore all aspects of science and the medical field as they build and launch rockets, solve murder mysteries, examine and compare anatomical features of animals and perform shark, frog, and cadaveric dissections.

The Discovery Camp for second to fifth graders
Children will learn about biology, anatomy, animals, and space through fun, hands-on activities. The focus will be on expanding students’ knowledge and stimulating their imaginations.
The Explorer Camp for sixth to eighth graders
This session will feature hands-on activities designed to entertain pre-teens, particularly those interested in science.
The Scholar Camp for ninth to 12th-grade high school students
It is designed for students who want to gain more knowledge of the medical field and human anatomy. The student will develop new skills, such as suturing, in the center’s cadaver lab. Topics related to microbiology and chemistry, among others, will be included.
SERF’s Summer Science Camps are unlike any other camp in Colorado. For nearly thirteen years, we have offered kids hands on experiences combined with innovative lectures. Our camps are led by faculty at SERF who specialize in education and planning spectacular events for the community. Each camper is placed in their own small team which will work together to complete activities and challenges throughout the week. The teams are led by our pre-health undergraduate interns who strive to make the camps a memorable experience for each student.
