Honoring the Fallen at Red Rocks Stair ClimbCSO’s Ruth Beckham, NP, was amongst the thousands of Coloradans who gathered to honor 9/11 victims and firefighters at this year’s Red Rocks stair climb.

“I did this for my son-in-law who is a firefighter,” says Ruth. “I was amazed to watch the firefighters with all of their gear on hiking up the steps of Red Rocks in honor of ‘the fallen’.”

Participants marched nine laps around the Red Rocks amphitheater, equaling 110 stories of the World Trade Center. The 10th annual climb honored the 343 FDNY firefighters who lost their lives in the attacks 16 years ago. Event proceeds benefitted the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation’ FDNY Counseling Services Unit that supports fallen firefighters’ families.
