AOSpine is the largest group of international spine specialists in the world, a community of spine surgeons generating, distributing, and exchanging knowledge to advance science and the spine care profession through research, education, and community development. With this collaborative approach, AOSpine is advancing spine care worldwide.
This week, our very own Dr. Michael E Janssen attended the AOSpine Davos Courses 2013 — Mastering Complex Spine Cases, which took place in Davos, Switzerland. Not only was Janssen working as one of the Course Faculty, as he presented several lectures throughout the event, but amongst a global representation of international experts, he was also awarded the honor of the Life Time Achievement Award for spine surgery—international, for his support over the last 25 years of international education, innovation, research, and collaboration!
Janssen has a long history with AOSpine, as he was the international Executive Chairman in Zurich, Switzerland from early 2005 to mid 2009, immediately followed by a member of the International as a Past-Chairman through mid 2012. Additionally, he is active among the AO North America Spine Board, AO International Board of Trustees, AO International Spine Board, AO International Spine Executive Committee, and much more, not to mention his previous roles AO-affiliated organizations.
We want to take this opportunity to congratulate Janssen on this incredible achievement, recognition, and honor.
