From physical therapy and home exercises to orthobiologics, Denver-based Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialist, Dr. George Leimbach, uses multiple forms of non-operative medicine to maximize patients’ quality of life.

With all the popular press around platelet injections and Stem Cell injections today, Dr. Leimbach mentions it takes a careful selection process to know if they will truly be beneficial for an individual. “We’re getting excellent results with platelet injections and stem cell injections now,” says Dr. Leimbach. “An accurate diagnosis and a careful selection process is the key to successful treatment. One unique thing about the Center for Spine and Orthopedics is that we have a great relationship and close collaboration between non-surgeons, physiatrists like myself, and the surgeons, spine, general orthopedists, and podiatry so we choose the most appropriate care for the patient and truly improve the patient’s life.

Colorado residents enjoy being outdoors and pursuing an active lifestyle and that’s what the Center for Spine and Orthopedics is all about, improving the patient’s quality of life.  To do this, Dr. Leimbach says, “We deploy all kinds of interventions like physical therapy and at-home exercise programs but sometimes we do need to intervene with injections and are seeing great results with platelet injections and Stem Cell injections. One of the most important things is to come up with is an accurate diagnosis.”

Dr. Leimbach also discusses one of his favorite tools in his specialty to help diagnose pain, “One of the tools I specialize in is electro-diagnostic medicine, also known as nerve conduction study or EMG studies, so we can diagnose nerve conditions to get an accurate diagnosis and see what the most appropriate treatment would be.”
