Testimonials & Reviews
Orthopedic Surgeon & 2025-2026 AO Spine North America Orthopedic Spine Surgery Fellow at the Center for Spine & Orthopedics
Dr. Michael Mousselli was born in Houston, Texas, and has lived in Southern California since he was 11 years old. Growing up as the son of a mechanical engineer and a Registered Nurse, he developed a deep interest in both physics and medicine. This inspired him to pursue a medical career in orthopedic surgery. Throughout medical school and residency, he became fascinated with the intricate anatomy of the spine and how its pathology can affect an individual’s daily life. This fascination led him to pursue a fellowship in orthopedic spine surgery.
Dr. Mousselli has a passion for both international medicine and research as well. During medical school, he traveled to Mexico and Africa to provide medical care to underserved populations, while simultaneously working on research that involved patients with traumatic injuries.
While in residency, he traveled to Vietnam and worked alongside the local orthopedic surgeons, performing spine surgeries and general orthopedic procedures.
In his free time, Dr. Mousselli enjoys spending time with his wife, Kara, and his dog, Otto. They enjoy hiking, skiing, and exploring new cities together. Dr. Mousselli is excited to work with every spine surgeon at the Center for Spine & Orthopedics, and he looks forward to learning as much as he can from these excellent surgeons.
