The Center for Spine and Orthopedics sponsored “The Longest Hole” at Good Samaritan’s Golf Jam on September 11. The event raised more than $59,000 for cardiovascular services at the hospital.
CSO’s Ruth Beckham, NP, was amongst the thousands of Coloradans who gathered to honor 9/11 victims and firefighters at this year’s Red Rocks stair climb. “I did this for my son-in-law who is a firefighter,” says Ruth. “I was amazed to watch the firefighters with all of their gear on hiking up the steps of Red Rocks in honor of “the fallen.”
The 10th Annual Fall Prevention Awareness Day is Friday, September 22. Every 11 seconds, an older adult is treated for a fall in the emergency room and in one of 10 cases requires hospitalization. Dr. Eric Kulhman, a podiatrist and foot and ankle surgeon at the Center for Spine and Orthopedics, recommends these tips to prevent you from falling.
