The Center for Spine & Orthopedics and the Spine Education and Research Institute offer additional educational opportunities for many international physicians and surgeons. The unique learning center facility at the Spine Education and Research Institute allows international visiting surgeons to evaluate the most advanced technology, participate in educational seminars, observe in-patient care and spend time in the bio-skills cadaver facility with the Center for Spine & Orthopedics faculty.
Michael Janssen, DO and faculty members of the Spine Education and Research Institute, are committed to and volunteer many months each year in international countries building relationships with international surgeons and learning centers across the globe. In the past year, they have been invited to Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Canada, Venezuela, Colombia, Chile, Netherlands, United Kingdom, and Japan. During their visits to these countries, they give scientific presentations to the local surgeons, and participate in surgical procedures in order to advance the treatment of spinal disease. Monroe Levine, MD, past chairman of the orthopedic residency program in Georgia, continues to be a great asset in balancing the teaching facility and CME program offered at the Spine Education and Research Institute for the community and the visiting surgeons.
For further information about this program, please feel free to contact Dr. Levine or Ruth Beckham, RN, at the Center for Spine & Orthopedics at 303.287.2800.
